As we are all aware, thanks to the bombardment of news articles etc, kids these days don't get outside enough.....well what better way for us to make sure Finn gets to enjoy 'The Great Outdoors' than to have a camper that will take us from Bourke to beyond!
Well, we aren't planning on going to Bourke but anyway.....
So after initially thinking we would get a camper, then thinking of a full blown caravan, then coming full circle and back to an Australian Off Road Odyssey Signature camper we are now happy!
Honestly I tell you what Shannon certainly does his homework before making a purchase! I think we know more about off road campers now than the people who actually make them!
So anyway today we went all the way to Bargara (3.5 hours away - so 7 hour round trip) to check one out and we met a lovely couple. The sellers have upgraded to a full on Australian Off Road Caravan! Anyway they showed us EVERYTHING, from the kitchen sink to the shower, and everything else. They were really helpful and lovely.
So anyway, we are hoping to pick up the Camper early this week, bring it home (another 7 hour round trip) and pack it. After that we are heading north (which will be three trips towards Bargara in a week, oh well), we have a loose plan of where we are going but the great thing about a self-sufficient camper is that it really doesn't matter where we end up. We have hot water, a fridge/freezer and cooking equipment so we simply can stay anywhere....well anywhere you are allowed to stay - we are not hobo's afterall.
Anyway, keep checking our Blog after say Wednesday and hopefully you will enjoy the tales of our adventure as much as we enjoy being on it!
