Day 2: Camilla Beach
Well we awoke today to
a beautiful sunny day! Thank
goodness! We left Rocky around
8:30 and then headed north.
Our aim was for
Camilla Beach and here we are! We
found the site in our Camps Australia book which has all free camps and gives
you an idea of what to expect.
On our way we passed
Kangaroos in a paddock, saw an Emu and even saw a Dingo, I tell you what if we
were Japanese tourists we would be weeing with joy! (sorry we didn’t take photos of them).
While we were driving
we saw some bulls with big horns, I said to Finn “look cows with horns”, his
reply “do they go ‘beep beep’?”, kids are so literal!
Finn has been an
absolute treat, he was stuck in the car for 7.5 hours yesterday (as it was wet
we didn’t want him to get out), and today cruised until we got here. While we were setting up the camper he
played on the beach and was a gem.
He is truly an outdoors kid, so I don’t think we will have any dramas
with him on our trip.
When we arrived here
at our camp we set up really quickly and fuss free, which was a nice surprise after
yesterdays efforts.
The campers near us
were surprised how quickly we set up our rig, and came over to have a look,
they now reckon they want a camper like ours.
We went for a walk
this arvo and collected some cool shells and stuff. While we were walking on the sand flats we found some very
soft muddy sand, it looked gross on our feet.
I would have pictures
to show you our afternoon stroll but some genius forgot to bring the card
reader for me to download photos, so all I have are mobile phone pics.
Anyway, there is a
beer with my name on it, gotta go.
Shae, Shan and Finn.
Hey guys, glad your spending the night in the camper tonight. Now that's livin, enjoy the beers. Safe travels Sharon, Scott, Brock, Josh & Luke xx
